we are planning an upgrade SAP and unicode conversion in a payroll HR

system's landscape . Regarding the production system we are studying a

solution to reduce the downtime for the users in this system.

We are thinking to do the two activities (upgrade and conversion) in

two different phases.

We'd like to know if SAP supports an ERP 6.0 non-unicode . we have seen

through the OSS note 548016 that for MDMP ERP 6.0 in not more released.

Our system has a single code page and no other languages are installed.

Can we stay for a period of 2-4 months with a ERP 6.0 but non-unnicode?

Hi All,

I'm upgrading my ERP system from EhP4 ERP6 NW701 to EhP7 ERP6 NW74.

During the upgrade, at Extraction roadmap, the phase PREP_INIT/JOB_RSUPDTEC takes very long time.

The job was started at 4h ago and still running.

On the previous upgrade [Test System] this phase takes 5 minutos to complete. I really don't understand why this happen.

My Database version is Oracle 11.2.0.3. The OS is HP-UX.

Any ideas about how to solve this issue?

I checked the table status. There were no database tables.

This is my second upgrade of EHP7. At first time , I choosed 'Starard' mode.

At this time I choosed 'Single System'.

I activated one table(/BA1/F4_RELEASE) and repeated phase , then passed its table.

But there are almost 1,300 talbes.

Is this bug of 'Single System' mode ?

Or is there any solution?

My configuraion is

  OS: WIndows 2008 R2

  DB: SQL Server 2008 R2

  CPU: 2

  memory: 16GB

We have one  issue with SAP ROUTER, when ever i am checking the OSS rfc connection in sm59 its giving authorization issue and at that time SAP connection was getting canceled with out any error message.

In sm21 its giving below error

The SAP Dispatcher (part of the application server) has lost the connection to a terminal process.  For example, this happens when the terminal program (GUI) terminates without correctly logging  off the application server.  More detailed information about the error context is not available here.

At the same time in my SAP ROUTER system sap router service getting restarted and when i am checking for router log in cmd using saprouter -l command the time stamp was showing current time.

We just upgraded our system to EHP 6.

For MSS we did not go with the AddOn but instead upgraded to MSS BP 1.5

We intent to use only WDA applications, however, since we have not taken Add on, we have not activated the Switch HCM_MSS_WDA_1.

Will this be a problem?

If done this way, are there any prereq steps to consider.

I refered following link and from the prereq list, we activated switches:

We somehow are not achieving the desired results.

One key problem is, for Links "Compensation Comparisons & Comp Profile, within the Planning Pages, system displays error msg, "There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_HumanResources": object "employee". For more information, contact your administrator"

Secondly, the Compensation Planning Pages do not display data in few fields.

Thirdly, When Application Parameters are set to "HCM_ECM_PROFILE_OIF" and Configuration set to "HCM_ECM_PROFILE" in  for Compensation Profile, System gives error " The Application cannot be started because the Person ID is missing. If HRTMC_EMPLOEE_Profile application is running is ESS, it determines the required ID from user and therefore does not require and ID transfer.

Need experts guidance.

Operating system : solaris server 5.10 SPARC

Database : Oracle 11.2.0.2

Now we are getting the below when we tried to start the Shadow system.

We're doing an upgrade from ERP 6.0 EHP5 to EHP7.

During the Extraction phase in SUM (SUM 1.0 SP11) it ask me for

' Enter mount points for DVDs of the kit "NW740SR1" required for the procedure

Enter at least the mount point containing Export DVD for product ERP '

Anyone knows which files it refers to?

We have downloaded "everything",

ERP60 ehp7  upgrade export, installation export, java components (don't know why, because this is an abap-only), Lang, installation export II (zip-file)

Checking the logs doesn't show which files are missing.

Hello Folks,

I have installed ERP 6.0 EHP7 ABAP successfully for the use of SAP HR System, but only after installation it was found that SAP HR and EA HR core components for HCM system are in 600 SP 97, can you please guide me the next steps, do we have to generate stack.xml for upgrade and upgrade both components using SUM.

Can you please help in providing the relevant options for selecting SAP HR (604) and EA HR (607) in mopz for generating stack file in Solman 7.1.

We have migrated EP oracle database to DB2.

Post migration,JAVA is not available.

I would like to confirm one thing from experts is that do we need to make any changes through configtool in cluster_data.

I have given full permissions to tmp directory.

iN dev_dispatcher.out below error is faced:

Could not open the ICU common library.

  The following files must be in the path described by

  the environment variable "LD_LIBRARY_PATH":

  libicuuc.so.30, libicudata.so.30, libicui18n.so.30 [nlsui0_mt.c 1489] pid = 22413

Please confirm the way to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH in environment variable,cause when I checked in env files it has some coding to take the value,thus unable to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Dear Experts,

As we are planning for central gateway for FIORI , SAPUI5 applications and we already installed below core gateway components on our NW 7.31 GW_CORE,IW_FND,IW_PGW,IW_BEP,WEBCUI.

But  there is confusion that do we need to install 

• IW_CNT 200
• IW_CBS 200
• IW_SCS 200

Please advice on this.
