User group [$CLASS] not an Org level field in IA, whereas it is in DA

Hi All,

 

We have an authorization problem that we faced while SAP Upgrade. In the development system while we upgraded all the roles, we did not face any issue. User group field [$CLASS] was actually an org level field in that system and the roles were upgraded based on that condition.

 

When the Integration system was up and the upgraded roles were transported to IA, we noticed that they ended with a warning. On checking the logs we found out that User group [CLASS] actually was not an Org level value in the INtegration system, whereas it was an org level field in the development system.

 

Can someone tell me the reason why it is different? Is there any settings we have to change to make User group  an org level field in IA. Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Team,

 

First query : Is there a way i can predict which sap objects would be touched before in hand rather than knowing after starting SUM.

Second query : What happens to the request in case if its gets missed out by releasing , rather than releasing i will unlock the objects will i loose the version history what happens to my development post upgrade?

Headings of CSKS table have been changed in SE16 after EHP6 upgrade

We have upgraded from ECC 6.0 to EHP6 , but after upgrade the headings of CSKS table have been chnaged in SE16 i.e. the last 3 coloumns are seen as Ind. only , where as in SE16N its correctly seen as Name Description , Cost Center , Cost Center short text .

Tcode MIGO Background Job Not working

Hi All,

 

I am facing problem in TCode : MIGO for Background JOB of BDC Program with below details,

 

CALL_TRANSACTION MIGO returncode: 1,001  RECORD:          0

MIGO                 017 S

The front end is not suitable for the transaction (see long text)

DC                   006 S

Control Framework: Fatal error - GUI cannot be reached

00                   341 A

Runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION has occurred

 

Please let me know above error what needs to be done.

Interoperability btw ERP 6.0 EhP7 and SAP NW/BW 7.0

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our SAP ERP system from ERP 6.0 EhP6 to ERP 6.0 EhP7 SPS02.

We have a SAP NW/BW 7.0 SPS22/24 system which is connected to our SAP ERP system.

We do not use NetWeaver EP/BW/PI hubs in conjunction with the ERP system.

 

The Upgrade Dependency Analyzer shows the result “Independent upgrade not possible” when used with the following parameters :

Target Component : ERP EhP/ERP 6.0 EhP7/ECC

Existing Component : SAP NetWeaver/NW 7.0/Business Intelligence.

 

OSS notes 1737650 (ERP 6.0 EhP7 RIN) and 1388258 (Version interoperability..) have been checked.

 

Question :

Does the “Independent upgrade not possible” result from the UDA mean that we cannot upgrade our SAP ERP system to ERP 6.0 EhP7 without having to

upgrade our SAP NW/BW 7.0 system to NW 7.30 (or higher) ?

Language miss match after EHP7 Upgrade

Hi All,

 

Recently we have done EHP Upgrade from EHP 4 to EHP 7, after that whenever we used LSMW & SCOT standard transaction it show German language instead  of Dutch. Can you please advice is there any other post activity we should follow after upgrade? how to resolve this issue?

Now SAPup is reporting this error:

 

Enter at least the mount point containing "Kernel DVD for OS WINDOWS_I386 and Non-Unicode"

The requested Data Carrier is not mounted on any of the mount points you entered.

 

Can anybody help ?

Mail configuration in not working in Production.

Hi,

 

We are using SAP ECC6 with EHP 3 version with MSSQL2005 DB and WINDOWS2008r2 server.

 

For sending mails from SAP , we configured SCOT and SMTP configuration in all servers like DEV,QAS and PRD.

 

When i am sending mail from DEV and QAS its working fine, but in my PRD server mailis not going.and its giving below error message

 

Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)errior message number 816

 

all the configuration done as per the SAP standard document only, and its working fine in DEV and QAS.

 

below i am giving all the profile information and scot configuration ,SMTP port information and all..

 

Please check and help me to resolve this error.

This same parameters working in DEV and QAS...same parameters are there in PRD also.

We are getting following error during upgrade.

KOST : Search Help Problem

Hello All,

 

we are doing ECC6 Upgrade, due to return to standard, custom elemetary search helps are missing in standard collective search help KOST.

 

I have added two custom elementary search helps to standard collective search help KOST.

 

now the issue is, selected possible values are displayed and then after choose any value it's not returned to screen field.(this issue is only with custom search help added but other standard search help are working fine)

 

i checked all, even import and export are selected correctly in my custom elementary search help.

 

Only the difference is search help exit available in ECC6 for KOST but not in 4.7.

 

Kindly let me know suggestion on this issue.

ERP6 EHP 7 Installation Error

Hi All,

 

I am installing erp6 - ehp7, installation went fine until START INSTANCE phase but in start instance phase it popup an error stating " GIVING UP " due to long time taken for starting after this i rebooted system and again started SAPINST then it again generated different error " The module CIaOsSystem has not been registered sap" . then i re-run sapinst but now its not continuing with old installation its going for new installation.

 

How to continue from the phase where it stopped ?

 

Any help Appreciated ...

Is There A Patch Release Calendar For ST-PI & ST-A/PI

Hi All,

 

I've searched high and low for this, and now putting a question for the experts.

 

Is there a release calendar for the Patches for ST-PI and ST-A/PI ?

 

I mean, for example,

 

     if

 

          we have

 

               ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL 8

 

     is there

 

          a document/OSS Note from SAP

 

               which shows

 

                    the timeline for releasing the future Patches Levels eg:

 

                                   ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL 9      September 2014

 

                                   ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL10     December 2014

 

I already have the OSS Note 539977 - Release Strategy for Add-On ST-PI

 

but this OSS Note

 

          a) doesn't give the release timeline for the Patch Levels

 

          b) doesn't cover ST-A/PI

 

Hence the question:

 

     Is there a Release Calendar for the Patches for ST-PI and ST-A/PI ?

MESSAGE_TYPE_X dump for a ServiceUser

Hi,

I have searched few threads on MESSAGE_TYPE_X dumps, it does give reference to a OSS note where it states issue is due to GUI version not being latest.

Now the issue seems strange here, as these dumps come only for Service Type Users.

So in such case how can we upgrade the GUI, how to find the solution for such a case.

I have gone thru the Media guide on SMP and found only the Java components listed.

 

I am planning to do it on top of AIX / Oracle.

Syntax Error after EHP7 upgrade MM-PUR

Dear All,

 

We did a new EHP7 installation and then we upgrade all the support packages via SUM. The upgrade was successfully completed but since the upgrade is finished we are getting syntax  errors in most of  MM transcations.


Can any one help me on this..?

SAP FIORI UI Component

Dear Experts,

 

We are installing SAP Fiori application for our ECC 6.0 (NW 7.31) and we are referring SAP Fiori - SAPUI5 Overview.

We are using embedded gateway and installed all required component according to SAP Fiori installation document.

As mentioned in document there are UI and integration component which need to be installed on Gateway server and backend server

but in my case both are same.

 

I have installed SRA* components but while installing UISRA* through SPAM or SAINT i am not getting this component for new installation (as i already uploaded file from front end and application server both).

After uploading file i am not getting anything in Display define queue,Please help on this .

Notes not Disappearing from SPAU window

Hello guys,

 

There are some SAP notes on my SPAU window which are not disappearing even after resetting them to original. Some of them are in grey light i.e. obsolete notes and some are in yellow light.

 

 

Does anyone has any idea about this behaviour i.e. why they are not going away from the SPAU window?

 

Is there any problem with the correction instructions?

Dear SAP'pies

 

We have started an upgrade from ERP 604 to 607.

In the prepare phase MAIN_SHDINST/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/EU_CLONE_CRE_SHDVIEWS we are facing an issue creating views in the SHD instance.

 

Facts:

AIX 7.1

DB6 10.5

 

The system we are trying to upgrade is a sandbox system restored from a backup of our productive system.

 

We see the following issue when creating the views D010B and D010LINF:

dsql_exec_immediate returned DS_DBOBJECTUNKNOWN

(DB) ERROR: DDL statement failed

 

( CREATE VIEW "D010LINF" ( "PROG", "R3STATE", "MACH", "UNAM", "UDAT", "UTIME", "L_DATALG", "Q_DATALG", "SDAT", "STIME", "MINOR_VERS", "MAJOR_VERS" ) AS SELECT T0001."PROGNAME", T0001."R3STATE", T0001."MACH", T0001."UNAM", T0001."UDAT",  T0001."UTIME", T0001."L_DATALG", T0001."Q_DATALG", T0001."SDAT", T0001."STIME", T0001."MINOR_VERS", T0001."MAJOR_VERS" FROM "REPOLOAD" T0001 )

dsql_exec_immediate returned DS_DBOBJECTUNKNOWN

(DB) ERROR: DDL statement failed

 

When restoring the system the owner of the tables is SAPPEC, therefore the environment variable DBS_DB6_SCHEMA=SAPPEC was set according to SAP documentation.

 

It seems that when creating the view, the upgrade is expecting the owner to be SAPQE2, but our owner is SAPPEC!

Therefore the object is UNKNOWN.

 

If we sign on to the database using:

DB2 connect to QE2

user SAPPEC using <password>

We are able to create the views.

 

As this is a solution taken from the SAP documentation, we expect that a solution exist for this, in upgrade documentation.

 

Anyone in here who know where to find a solution for this?
