EU_SWITCH missing stored procedure

Hi All,

 

We are performing an enhancement package instalation from ECC6 to ECC6

EHP6.

 

Initial SP level Basis 700 sp12

 

We are currently on the downtime step, in phase EU_SWITCH.and we are

getting the folowing error in file MSSPROCSTHROW.LOG

 

 

"Msg 50000, Level 16, State 62, Server SQC6001SAP16, Line 79

Creation of stored procedure 'sap_zz_create_jobs' threw SQL Error 2812:

Could not find stored procedure 'sap_perf_job_add'.

Execution completed successfully"

 

Didn't find much information about this.

 

Any ideas?

Creating modification adjustment transport for automatic handling of SPDD/SPAU during support pack activity using SPAM/SAINT.

In this document I will outline the concept behind SPDD and SPAU and how modification adjustment transport requests should be created for automatic handling of adjustments during Support pack activity. This document can be used when handling adjustments using SPAM/SAINT tool.

 

During the SPDD_SPAU_CHECK phase of the support pack activity, SPAM tool scans for modified objects in the system. It compares the modified objects identified in the system to the NEW objects coming via the new support pack which are being applied in the current support pack queue. The modified objects consist of the repository and the dictionary objects. Modified objects mean SAP standard objects which are modified by the customer to suit their need. The tool makes a list of these objects and sorts then into type SPDD and SPAU. Objects classified under SPDD are dictionary objects( tables , structures, views etc. ). Objects classified into SPAU are repository objects ( Screen elements , reports, programs etc. ) .

 

Consider we have a 3 system landscape with SID’s DEV, QAS and PRD all in same transport landscape and domain controller. Initially the support packs are applied on DEV system. During the SPDD/SPAU phase we perform the adjustments on DEV system. The adjustments are locked in adjust modification requests. So we will create one request for SPDD and one request for SPAU. The objective now is that adjustments have to be handled automatically in QAS and PRD system.

 

Now the correct way to perform this as below. Consider we have one request for SPDD and one for SPAU. Please be aware that you need to release only the tasks. Not the request. The transport request will be released later by the system when we are tagging this as the adjustment transport request as shown below. If you have already released the transport request, you may have to create new transport request by including the objects or a transport of copies.

We have to assign the newly created transport for SPDD or SPAU or as below. Go to SPDD or SPAU screens after the requests are created.

 

  • Click on the Assign transport button
  • Furnish the Request/Task

  • Sometimes you may have created several transport requests for SPDD or for SPAU. Now you can merge all these transport requests into a transport of copies. In that case make sure you Change the “Request Type” to transport of copies by “Transport of copies “ and below

  • Click on the Check button once done.  The following screens are as below

  • You will get the below message at the bottom of the screen once you press “YES”

Now when the request will be appended with request attributes which you can see via SE01. Basically the SPAM tool will compare the support pack level in the request attributes and only if the support packs level matches, the transport request will be accepted as an modification request. During the SP activity you have to provide these transports when modification adjustment pops up comes. This is the same procedure to be followed for both SPAM and SAINT.


In case you are using SUM tool, then you have to use 2 separate requests for SPDD and SPAU  and furnish them during the configuration roadmap step when the tool asks you.

 

 

DONTS

 

  1. 1) SPDD has to be handled when SPAM/SAINT pops up for SPDD adjustment. If you skip SPDD when it is prompted all you dictionary modifications will be lost
  2. 2) You are not supposed to import any transport requests during support pack activity as these transport requests may corrupt the transport programs responsible for support pack activity. Always include the modification adjustment transports for automatic SPDD/SPAU handling.

SAP full backup is getting canceled

Hi All,

 

We are using ECC 6.0 EHP 3 with MSSQL 2005 ,

 

from last 2 days on words my SAP system full backup is getting canceled  with Backup Error: 3041, Severity: 16, State: 1. error message

 

Please let me know the reason , its an urgent requirement.

Issue with SUM tool in pre-processing phase:

Dear Experts,

 

 

We are in the process of upgrading ECC system from SP11 to SP23 using SUM tool. We were in the middle of Pre-processing stage, but the process got hanged and when we try to restart it using STARTUP.BAT file of SUM tool DSU services is not starting. When i click STARTUP.BAT , starting DSUI screen will popup and it will terminate in few seconds.Please find the attached screen shot and jump.trace file for your reference and kindly help us to resolve this issue as soon.

Export/Import Variants from a productive instance to another

Hi Gurus

 

We are in process to migrate our business transactions to a new productive instance, so in order to allow users to execute their responsabilities as transparent as posible, we need to créate all variants created in our actual SAP productive instance.

 

The SAP version for both productive instances is the same (SAP 6.0).

 

So, we need to know if there is a procedure to:

- Identify

- Create

- Transport (export, import)

 

all variants created in the actual SAP productive instance.

 

Please, let me know if you know a method for doing this.

EHP6: EHP_INCLUSION in module PREP_EXTENSION / Extension module

I am facing below issue during EHP 6 upgradation. Extraction phase successfully completed but now stuck on below INCLUSION phase

SAPup_troubleticket.log

SAPup broke during phase EHP_INCLUSION in module PREP_EXTENSION / Extension module

Error Message: Unable to generate addon queue. Return Code = -99, Reason = "Add on installation/upgrade not yet complete.

If you put new packages in the download directory, use option 'init' to upload them

How to handle custom developments in customer name space during a Java Upgrade.

You want to upgrade a NW portal from 7.0X to NW 7.30 or NW 7.4. I would explain in this document a procedure for carrying forward the custom developments  in customer name space or components other than name space "sap.com" into the target release .

 

Background

---------------

All SAP standard delivered objects are in name space "sap.com". Using NWDI the customer develop his custom applications in his own name space . During the BUILD_COMPONENT_LIST phase of the upgrade ,the upgrade tool displays a list of all the SAP and custom objects which are not a part of the stackXML . We need to take a decision on these objects. The upgrade offers two options as "SCAN INBOX" or  "REMOVE" . Now if you want to proceed with keeping the components , you have to provide a successor to these packages in the EPS in box . If no successor is provided the components will be completely removed.

 

 

What can be done to keep the custom developments

---------------------------------------------------------------

Now on releases 7.0x the used java version id java 1.4.1 or 1.5.1 depending upon the release. On Nw 7.3 or higher the java gets switched to SAPJVM 6.x.

The custom objects are on NW 7.0 release . Now these successor packages are based on NWDI on NW7.3 based on SAPJVM 6.X . So the successor packages are SCA files created on target release . Now how to migrate the packages from NW 7.0x to NW 7.3 and higher is clearly described in the below SCN doc

Now the components deployed in NW 7.3 NWDI have to be bundled into SCA file and they have to be provided as successor package . The SUM tool only accepts SCA files. If now successors are provided , the components will be un-deployed as the system is being upgraded to NW 7.3 or higher up releases.

 

Now there is another crude way of carrying forward the changes. You may have to take a backup of the existing objects in lower release. During the BUILD_COMPONENT_LIST phase ,you may choose the option to "Remove" . The upgrade tool will upgrade the system and you may redeploy the custom developments again. But this approach will pollute the system with SDA's which are not bundled into SCA's . This will again cause problem during the next upgrade if components are not present as SCA's . So this is not recommended as a correct approach.

Can anyone give me some idea on this upgrade:

 

Details of Current Servers are:

 

OS:- Windows Server 2003 (32 Bit)

 

Database Version:- Oracle 9.2.0.8

 

SAP: SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X110 (Non-Unicode)

 

Details of New Servers:

 

OS:- Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 Bit)

 

Database Version:- Oracle 11.2

 

SAP: SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6

 

Can anyone share best approach to complete this upgrade with optimized downtime.

 

If we want to install same current version of SAP in Windows 2008 64-bit, we do not have DVD available for 4.7. PAM also says not supported.

 

Please suggest Best approach.

Getting Error in to Renewal of sap router certificate

I am getting error  when importing sap router certificate it was expired on 18.02.2013.

By today i am trying to renewal but getting error.

SAP ECC 6.0 to EHP 6 UPGRADE EFFECT ON SD VC

Hello Expert,

 

We are upgrading ECC 6.0 to ECC 6.0 EHP 6 ,I would like to know the effect on SD VC master data like class, procedure ,user interface design,dependencies,characteristics ,change number master and VC configuration etc.

 

We have approximate 1800 characteristics with more than 200 dependencies  with thousands line of code in procedure,preselection, selection,constraint,variant table,variant function  and some enhancement in function module etc. Its huge data so I am worried if anything goes wrong then it will be big mess.

 

Please suggest for better execution of new EHP 6.

Hi all,

 

I am assigned a new solman server in client place which has been already installed.When the db has been started manual by me and it is mounted.when i login to sidadm and run startsap.

 

No SQL*NET connect to USM Aviable.

check that the listener is running :"lsnrctl status"

start the listener from orasid:"lsnrctl start"

 

usr/sap/USM/SYS/exe/run/startdb terminating with return code 14 db start up failed.

 

 

I have started the listener.

Kindly help with the issue.

Is it possible to set in config as follows:

 

1. Posting of down payment document, the fund status of the document is not statistical.

2. Posting of down payment transfer document, the fund status of the document is statistical.

3. Posting of down payment clearance document, the fund status of the document is not statistical.

 

The objective of no.2 is to avoid the standard processing of funds availability checking against the fund objects during posting of down payment transfer document.

Payment document not created for payment lot in sap fica

Hi,

 

When payment lot created automatically, the payment document was not created in Sap FICA.

Even i checked the reason which is"No number range found for document type BE"

Number range is configured correctly for mass processing. Kindly suggest the solution to fix up the issue.

During SAP Upgrade from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 EHP 6 i'm getting a error during Preprocessing phase:


Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/EU_CLONE_CRE_SHDVIEWS!

 

Last error code set: No entry with key 'SAI_ADDRESS_V'.

 

For the resolution i followed SAP Note 1902974 but still the issue persists with output as below :

UMG_PMIG_PREP_JOB Cancelled SPUMG

Hi,

 

For SAP Upgrade from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 and during pre upgrade activity i'm getting error UMG_PMIG_PREP_JOB Cancelled.After checking details this background job cancelled with error IMPORT_FORMAT_ERROR.

 

When attempting to IMPORT the object "STA", there was a format error.

Unable to read an IMPORT dataset.

The dataset may have been processed using SQL and is

thus no longer readable for the IMPORT.

 

Under ST22 dump created as attached.For resolution followed SAP Note : 542302

 

Please support me to resolve the same.

SAP Upgrade - Parallel Landscape

Hi,

 

We have 3 system landscape and want to maintain a parallel landscape during the upgrade.

 

how can i have a new landscape with same hostname on Windows ? I can have it in WORKGROUP but not sure if we can move the transports between the systems.

 

can you please advise how to main a new landscape having the same hostname without effecting the current landscape ?

tp unlocksys during upgrade returns code 0232

Hi all,

 

I'm upgrading a system from 4.5B to ECC 6.0. I need to unlock the system in order to log in with a user different from DDIC.

 

SAPup is now in phase PARCONV_UPG (387/505). The shadow instance is not available any more, so SAPup is working only in the real instance.

 

When I try to execute

 

tp unlocksys TEC pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_TEC.PFL

 

an error occurs ( see below  )

 

I have also tried with

 

tp unlocksys TEC pf=<dir_trans>//DEFAULT.TPP

 

with the same results.  Any ideas?

Material Type Change

Hi Team,

 

I have few doubt with regard to change of material type.

 

When i googled about the procedure to change the material type I come to know that the pre-requisite to change materials is Open Pos and Vendor open line items with regard to the materials should be not be there. My query is why there should not be vendor open line items for the material. Coz once we book invoice through T code MIRO financial liability is created on us and the open line item is cleared wen next paymenth run is taken place. So please clarify.

 

Second: If we need to clear vendor open line items before we change the material type please explain me how to find out the vendor open items for a material. In t code FBL1N we can find out open items only but it is not possible to find out against a particular material.
