Derivation of Figures Reported in AR02

I have a question on how does the figures in the standard SAP report AR02 are derived for the following columns:

 

     1.     Depreciation for Year

     2.     Revaluation Depreciation

 

There are some instances that during revaluation of the asset was performed different amounts was entered resulted in different revaluation depreciation amount in different depreciation areas. (eg. depreciation area 01 - revaluation depreciation is 400,000, depreciation area 02 - revaluation depreciation is 10,600)

 

For such scenarios, does the amount reported in the depreciation for year column excludes the amount reported in revaluation depreciation column?

Conflict_check phase taking a long time.

Hi all,

We are upgrading our ECC 6.0 system to ehp 6.So we started the upgrade on a sandbox system for testing purpose . In the PREP_EXTENSION/CONFLICT_CHECK initially i got a timeout error so i increased the parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time" from 600 to 1200 but still i got the error .So i increased the value to 1600 and then to 6000 and  still got the error. so finally set the value to 0. Now the phase is continuing without error but it has been 25 hours and still it has not gone beyond that phase.I checked SM50 and i found that sequential read and insert is being performed continuously on three tables OCSCMPLOBJ,E071K and EO71. I have even updated the statistics of these tables but still no effect.

Our Database is Oracle 11g .OS is Solaris SPARC 64 bit.Running this on a zone with server configuration 32 GB RAM and 64 CPU cores.

Appreciate any pointer to this issue.

Online backup process in sap with mssql db

Hai ,

 

we are useing ECC 6.0 ehp3, with mssql 2005 data base

 

in my Quality server , long back online fullbackup is sehuduled .and they given space for this backup 180gb...now a days my Quality data base is more than 180 gb, because of this my online full backup is getting errors .

 

for this problem...1)How to change the backup path( drive ),

                          2) Is there any process to compress my db size,

                          3) how to change the backup path from one drive to another drive,

                          4)how do this activity , plase provide details with screen shots

 

 

Please expalin the process step by step..

 

it is very urgent requirement..

Duration between Preprocessing and Downtime phase

Hello All,

 

We are currently upgrading our system from SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 to EHP5. To reduce the performance issues caused to our production system due to the preprocessing phase running inthe background during productive use, we are planning to complete the Preprocessing phase over one weekend and start the Downtime phase during the subsequent weekend.

 

Though logically I think we can do it, can anyone confirm if there could be any issues by seperating the end of the Preprocessing phase and start of the downtime phase by a week?

 

Let me know what precautions we need to take in case if this is possible.

Hi Expert,

 

I have ECC6 Ehp5 system. There is a SAP Basis component Release 702 sp 14 like below.

 

System Details:

 

Version : ECC6 Ehp5

SAP Basis Component : Release 702  

Support Pack : 14

 

Can i upgrade the release 702 to 731.

 

if yes please suggest us.

Valuation Method in OKG3 - SAP ECC6

Hello

 

We are currently using SAP ECC6

 

I do have an issue defining the result analysis @ OKG3

 

Let's say we do have three different WBS Elements:

 

Level 1 in EUR

Level 2 in EUR : RA Calculation done at this level

Level 3 in GBP : RA Calculation done at this level

 

I'm currently using OKG3 with the following parameter:

Revenue-Based Results Analysis : RA Type = E

With Profit Realization : Profit Indicator = M

Project Structure = E : WBS of RA Without Hierarchy, Only Orders and Transactions

 

The usage of the following settings allows me to get dedicated calculation on each WBS of Level 2 and 3 (proper plan data and actual data). No consolidation at level n°2 is done (from Level n°3)

 

What I’d like to do is the following:

Set-up a "new" key at level n°1 that would be aggregating actual data but not plan data. If I use Project Structure = B (

B Summarize Everything to WBS Element of Results Analysis), then I will be adding both Actual and Plan.....

 

What I want is only to aggregate actual without plan (plan data being computed manually by CJR2)

erp6 ides upgrade - SPAU 2000 objects to adjust

Hello,

 

i upgraded SAP ERP6.0 Ides system to the new SP in the same maintenance i installed the Addon SCMEWM9.0. In SUM i'm acutally in the post-process and got prompted to do my adjustments with the SPAU transaction. Well first this is strange because we have no adjustements in the system this is a brand new ides. Anyway i have to adjust 2127 development objects -

 

I compared some objects and because this all standard from sap i have no idea which version i should choose. So do i have to choose in every object the new SAP Standard which was imported from the upgrade?

base installation ERP6 on EHP5 - how to update EA-IPPE from 400 to 405?

Hi All,

 

Just did a fresh installation on ERP6 on EHP5, patch it up to SPS09 (as recommended stack for Best Practice). However, one of the requisite for us is to have EA-IPPE updated to 405. In our system, EA-IPPE is installed with 400 level 22. I can't find a way generate the stack file to update it to EHP4-> EHP5 via saint/sum. In MOPZ, no option to download the delta update nor generation of the stack xml.

 

What's the technical usage inorder to update EA-IPPE?

 

Also, based on the note below, starting version for EA-IPPE is 400 for EHP* installation.

Dear All,

 

I am getting this message in many Tcode like FB60 and AS01 and others......

 

We recently upgrade from 4.6c IS-U/CCS system to ECC EPH4 and FM is active

 

Company code 1000 is not assigned to an FM derivation strategy

Message no. FI_E210

 

Diagnosis

The Company Code &V1&  is not assigned t M Derivation Strategy.

System Response

 

The FM Derivation Strategy could not be identified.

Procedure

Use any of the following steps to determine the proper FM Derivation Strategy:

u2022     Execute the transaction FM Derivation Strategy to maintain the FM Derivation Strategy Assignment to the Company Code &V1& or

u2022     Implement the BAdI: FM Derivation Tool using the method GET_STRATEGY to determine the FM Derivation Strategy

 

 

M ost of FI Transaction are not working. I will appreciate quick response.

After the upgrade we have some errors in Longpost.log in phase XPRAS_AIMMRG

SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 6 Upgrade from 4.7 EE - Technical Usage

Hello,

 

we are currently performing a SAP Upgrade of our SAP R/3 Enterprise to ERP 6.0 EHP6.

 

As for the EHP, the minimum of what is required should be installed. There is a variety of different software components installed on the current system and used. I am wondering if that makes a difference in the selection of the right Technical Usages in MOPZ or not.

 

In other words, can we select the Technical Usage "Central Applications" only for installation (no activation) or do we need to look at the installed software components and based on this derive the relevant Technical Usages that should be installed?

 

Or will MOPZ ensure that all relevant technical usages required to update existing software components are selected automatically?

 

Not a basis guy but a PM but trying to help.

Couldn't find any fitting answers to this question in the forum.

 

Again, aim to install the minimum required as part of the upgrade.


Any help is appreciated.

Smartform conversion to PDF issue for multiple language

Hello All,

 

We are working on one smartform which contains information in two languages 'English' and 'Arabic'.

The preview of the smartform is coming fine but when we try to convert the OTF data to PDF and save it as file, Arabic characters are not converting correctly.

 

If anyone has encountered this type of issue before, please share us the solution.

I am facing below issue during EHP 6 upgradation. Extraction phase successfully completed but now stuck on below INCLUSION phase

SAPup_troubleticket.log

SAPup broke during phase EHP_INCLUSION in module PREP_EXTENSION / Extension module

Error Message: Unable to generate addon queue. Return Code = -99, Reason = "Add on installation/upgrade not yet complete.

CRTs are required", check log file 'SPDA_EHP_INCLUSION.LOG' for details

If you put new packages in the download directory, use option 'init' to upload them

Dear All,

I am trying to upgrade SPS of ERP 6.0 and getting below error.

Last error code set: BATCHJOB RSUPGBAD on shadow instance FAILED: Code -1 during analysis of logfiles matching 'RSUPGBAD\.SPT'.

 

Please find attached remaining logs and guide me how can i resolve this issue.

The service provider of internet has been changed, so that i have to change my SAP Router public ip.

I had already raise the message to sap and SAP has been registered my new Public IP.

 

Now, where i have to make changes in sap router for new public ip.
