Problems by User Copy

Hello,

I have a problem by creating user with copy.

After the copy of a user to another user, in a transaction the copied user don`t see some fields ( here in FB50 cost center).

The different between the user's are that the master was create in ECC 6.0 EHP0 and the new in ECC 6.0 EHP 6.

In an other system with ECC 6.0 EHP 0 the copie works well.

Can somebody please let me know where should be the problem.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Klaus Förster

OSS note for KSU1

I am unable to execute transaction KSU1 as the client is not modifiable. We have upgraded from 4.5B to ECC6 .is there any SAP notes regarding that or is there any alternate way to test the transaction.

After EHP 7 business functions assessment, all new business functions are not applicable for me. Should i still go ahead for EHP upgrade?

Hi,

Currently, we are running with ERP 6.0 EHP4 and I have provided ST02 (Executed T-code) statistical to SAP, based on that SAP generated a EHP 7 business functions report to me.

After assesment, all the new business functions are not applicable in my environment, as most of the prerequisite features are not met.

As such, are we still recommended to upgrade to EHP7?

In my understanding, during EHP upgrade the new business functions can be activated selectively. Can i upgrade to EHP7 but without activate any new business function?

I believed during EHP upgrade, some SAP components' levels will automatically update to higer level, will this affect the existing function or reports?

Kindly advice,

Thanks,

Thomas

The program has found 0 entries in DDXTT and 4835794 in DDXTF

Hello

I'm installing the Supportpackagestack 10 for ERP6.0 EHP6 on the productive System. In the Extractionphase I get the following error:

The program has found 0 entries in DDXTT and 4835794 in DDXTF. All entries are listed in DDXTTCHK.LOG and DDXTFCHK.LOG.  Process the entries in DDXTT and DDXTF now as described in the Troubleshooting and Administration Guide.

I found some posts they advice to clear the Tables in TX SE16. But they had only a few entries in the DDXTT table. To erase an amount of 4835794 entries off the table scaries me.

What can I do to move on with the SPS10 installation? Or does someone know from where I get so much entries? What would happen if I erase all entries off the table?

Thanks for your input and advices

Kind regards

Michel

UPGRADE THE PLM SYSTEM FROM NWBC 731 TO NWBC 740

     Hello,

We want to Upgrade our PLM system from NWBC 731 to NWBC 740, for this it is better to have a SANBOX system to upgrade there first the NWBC740 and do some tests. And if everything is in order to Upgrade in the same time the DEV and TEST system?

Do you now a better way to do such an upgrade?

Livecache upgrade

Hi Experts ,

I am planning to upgrade from SCM 7.0 to SCM 7.0 EHP3 and selected the below technical usages in XML stack generation

SCM

Livecache

SCM optimizer

XI/ESR content

Current Livecache version - 7.7.07.45 & MaxDB - 7.7.06.09

Now my questions are below

1) will this execution

Upgrade the livecache alone ?- If so what would be the target version become

Upgrade the MaxDB version also?

Upgrade the SCM optimizer also? - I am planning to disable the optimizer RFC before the upgrade as its being shared with other SCM systems?

2) if the MaxDB wont get upgraded..can we upgrade it separately after the SCM 7.0 to SCM 7.0 EHP3 is over?

Please clear all these doubts

I will appreciate your help and guidance

Thanks a ton

Is it danger to set icm/req_queue_len to 6000?

We've told to change some ICM parameter to the value shown as below

icm/max_conn############## = 20000

icm/max_sockets = 22500

######### = 6000

icm/min_threads########### = 100

icm/max_threads########### = 500

mpi/total_size_MB######### = 500

mpi/max_pipes############# = 45000

but when setting it poped up the warning

For example, the system warning "the maximum value of icm/max_sockets

is 16500", "icm/req_queue_len can't be modified".

however through it poped up warning , but the changement still could be continued and done.

But we could like to know will it do harm to the production system , or is there any note to convince us that we can ignore these warnings?

Kate

SAP Support for Classic G/L in ECC 6.0 and above

Hello,

Running an SAP upgrade project from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 (EHP6). The customer is running the existing release since the past 8 years with FI/CO, MM,SD,PM and HCM modules.

We are exploring the possibilities and repercussions of moving on to new G/L from the legacy classic G/L. Please have a look at the mentioned points for replies accordingly.

1. As far as I understand, if need to seamlessly transit in the ECC 6.0 with New G/L in a way that the old transactional data, and all balances are retained with historical records, then we need to purchase the SAP New G/L Migration Services, and this would be lead and done by SAP. There is no alternate way of doing it solely by our ownself, Is this correct ?. If we engage SAP for this migration exercise and consulting then does it ensure that all historical data and balances are moved intact in the new G/L environment and from an end user perspective all transactional done to date before moving in ECC 6.0 are retained.

2. I guess we still need to review the integration impact of the new G/L for all other modules, is there a substantial rework to be done or with minimal effort, new account assignments and related configuration can be altered .

3. If we don't opt for SAP G/L Migration service but still want to activate and use the new G/L and profit center accounting, then as far as myself and my team assess, we need to decide a cutover date and gather the balances/open items from the legacy G/L and upload them to the new G/L in ECC 6.0, just as it would be the case for a fresh new implementation for a customer coming from non-SAP environment. If this is correct then :

  • The customer will lose all historical, detailed transactional data with respect to the legacy G/L and relevant originating entries. In such case for any business reporting requirement, the customer has to keep a separate PRD server alive in a dormant state for fetching the data before the transition in ECC 6.0 environment. Is this the correct understanding and the only possible approach, can there be a better way of ensuring the availability of historical data.

  • In such a case of doing a cutover data migration from old G/L to new G/L, do we have to upload the rest of the master/transactional data for all other modules as well, enacting a situation that all of them started as fresh new modules in ECC.6.0,  or the legacy master / transactional data for all other modules can be kept intact for historical purposes. (examples, all vendors and PO / sales order and customer master / employee master and all payroll historical records for past 8 years).

4. Any indication or official SAP note, that for how long SAP intends to support the legacy G/L in the upcoming ECC versions. It is necessary to know in case the customer currently opts for still continuing with the classic G/L in ECC 6.0 , but we have a lurking danger that SAP would stop the support and availability of legacy classic G/L in the near future. So to a have a long term sustainable benefit, we might deliberate with the customer to take a bitter sip now , and move on to the new G/L with all its bells/whistles and the nuisances it might bring in terms of historical transaction data unavailability.

I hope i was able to make my scenario clearly understandable for having some valuable input from the forum members.

Thanks a lot for reading and replying.

Language Update/Installation during EHP7 Upgrade

Hi guys, during an EHP7 Upgrade, we are facing the following issue.

Chinese Traditional Language was installed like 5 years ago but it was left inconsistent, since its a Non-Unicode SAP.

So, during the upgrade, we would like to uninstall it, as SUM suggests to unselect the language and Unistall it.

The problem is the the Upgrade Tools seems not to detect the Location of the DVD or the PAT file

Since its quite old, i was unable to find ECC 5.0 SR1 Languague DVD, just have the SAR file PAT File ZFECC51F.PAT which was used

to install Chinese Traditional.

Anyone can suggest me how to make manually the DVD containing the PAT File, or at least provide me the DVD number?

Otherwise i would need to request it to SAP.

Thanks!
