R3 4.7 ext 2.00(non unicode) to EHP5 ( unicode)

Existing Landscape:

OS: HP-UX 11.23

DB- Oracle 9.2.0.6

SAP R3 4.7 ext 2.00 (Non Unicode)

Target Release:

OS HP-UX 11.31

DB- Oracle 11.2.0.2

SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 (Unicode)

I have planned the sequence mentioned below:

a) Unicode Pre Conversion Phase

b) UCCHECK, SPUMG, Data conversion

c) Adapting custom programs to unicode

d) Export of  Development Server

e) Uninstall SAP and Database Server

f) Import Development server  R3 4.7 ext 2.00 with unicode version and Oracle 11.2.0.2

g) Unicode Conversion Post Conversion and Completion Phase (SUMG)

i) Upgrade Development system from SAP R3 4.7 to SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5

k) OS upgrade to 11.31

Reason for this strategy:

a) 11.31 does not support 9i so OS upgrade at last

b) R3 4.7 ext 2.00 supports 11g as per SAP Note 1478351 , so we can import r3 unicode with 11g

c) if  SAP system equal to r3 4.7 or higher, SAP recommends to perform Non unicode to unicode before upgrade.

Kindly suggest whether this strategy will work or it can be done in other way so that we can minimize downtime period.
